Excavation and sitework in progress — reference imagery
Excavation + Concrete · Chester County★ 5.0 · 39 Google reviews

The groundwork, done like it matters.

Excavation, drainage, and grading across Chester County — machine and crew on site, trenches and forms set right, and the surface restored when the digging is done.

The honest problem

Underground work is unforgiving

A trench dug wrong, bedding skipped, or backfill rushed shows up later — as settling, standing water, or a failed inspection.

828's excavation work follows the same discipline as its sewer-lateral conveyor: expose the problem, bed the line properly, compact in lifts, and restore the surface. Capability first, adjectives last.

What the machines show up for

  • Trenching and excavation for utilities and sewer laterals
  • Drainage runs and drainage corrections
  • Grading and site preparation
  • Backfill and compaction in lifts
  • Surface restoration after the dig

How the work runs

Step by step

01

Walk the site

Kenny walks the ground with you — access, slope, soil, and what the job actually needs before a machine is scheduled.

02

Scope it plainly

The dig, the bedding, the backfill, and the restoration are spelled out up front — the same fixed-scope habit as the remodeling work.

03

Dig & build

Machine and crew on site. Trenches opened, lines exposed or set, stone bedding placed, work inspected where the township requires it.

04

Backfill & restore

Backfill compacted in approved lifts, the surface graded and restored — the job leaves the property better than the dig found it.

Objections, answered

Before you ask

What kinds of excavation do you take on?

Trenching, drainage, grading, and excavation for sewer laterals and utilities — residential and light sitework across Chester County. If a job needs a different specialty, we'll tell you plainly on the walkthrough.

Do you handle drainage problems?

Yes — drainage is a core part of the excavation work, from new drainage runs to corrections where water is going somewhere it shouldn't.

What happens to our yard during and after the dig?

During: an open trench, managed and fenced off from daily life as much as the site allows. After: backfill compacted in lifts, grading restored, and the surface put back — on lateral work, restoration is always included.

Do you work with plumbers and other trades?

Yes. On sewer work, 828 runs the excavation and a master-plumber partner runs the pipe — separate trades, each responsible for their own portion, coordinated as one sequence.

How do we get started?

Call (484) 441-6397 or book a consult. Kenny walks the site, scopes the work plainly, and the proposal follows from what's actually in the ground.
